鼎：元吉，亨。
【白話】《鼎卦》象徵革故鼎新：十分吉祥，亨通。
《象》曰：木上有火，鼎，君子以正位凝命。
【白話】《象辭》說：《鼎卦》的卦像是巽（木）下離（火）上，為木上燃著火之表象，是烹飪的象徵，稱為鼎；君子應像鼎那樣 端正而穩重，以此完成使命。
初六，鼎顛趾，利出否；得妾以其子無咎。
【白話】初六，烹調食物的鼎足顛倒，卻順利地倒出了鼎中陳積的污穢之物；就好像娶妾可以生子一樣，不會發生災禍。
《象》曰：“鼎顛趾”，未悖也；“利出否”，以從貴也。
【白話】《象辭》說：“烹飪食物的鼎足顛倒”，看似反常，實則不然；“卻順利地倒出了鼎中陳積的污穢之物”，便於除舊布新，反常的現象得以向 好的方面轉化。
九二，鼎有實；我仇有疾，不我能即，吉。
【白話】九二，鼎中盛滿了烹調的食物，好比一個人有才幹；我的對立面嫉妒我，卻不能把我怎麼樣，是吉祥的。
《象》曰：“鼎有實”，慎所之也；“我仇有疾”，終無尤也。
【白話】《象辭》說：“鼎中盛滿了烹飪的食物，好比人有才幹”，應該謹慎行事，不要走錯方向；“我的對立面嫉妒我”，但因無隙可乘，故終將無 所怨尤。
九三，鼎耳革，其行塞，雉膏不食；方雨虧悔，終吉。
【白話】九三，鼎器的耳部發生了變化，無法將插槓插入鼎耳移鼎，精美的野雞肉不能得到無法食用；待到陰陽調和，潤雨出現才能消釋悔恨，最終還可以獲得 吉祥。
《象》曰：「鼎耳革」，失其義也。
【白話】《象辭》說：“鼎器的耳部發生了變化”，鼎無法移動，也就失去了它虛中納物的意義。
九四，鼎折足，覆公訴，其形渥，兇。
【白話】九四，鼎的足折斷了，王公鼎裡的粥飯傾倒出來了，鼎身被玷污，兇險。
《象》曰：“覆公訴”，信如何也！
【白話】《象辭》說：“王公鼎裡的粥飯傾倒出來了”，哪裡還有什麼信譽可言呢！
六五，鼎黃耳金鉉，利貞。
【白話】六五，鼎配上黃色的鼎耳，插上堅固的扛鼎之器，利於堅守正道。
《象》曰：「鼎黃耳」中以為實也。
【白話】《象辭》說：“鼎配上黃色的鼎耳”，是由於六五爻居中，自然可獲得實惠。
上九，鼎玉鉉，大吉，無不利。
【白話】上九，鼎配上玉製的鼎槓，十分吉祥，不會有什麼不利。
《象》曰：玉鉉在上，剛柔節也。
【白話】《象辭》說：「玉製的鼎槓高處上方，顯示剛柔相濟，互相調節。
在人際關係上，鼎卦也代表著團隊精神和共同進步。當人們在團隊中彼此協作，共同進步時，事業和關係都能夠不斷地發展和成長。
